My wonderful husband gave me a gift of new Hero Arts stamps and books. I am so busy with kids and keeping the priorities of my life right that there's not much time left for stamping. I had an idea for the tulip card for 1-2 days in my head before I had time to sit down and make it. A slight mistake was obvious to me but I decided I had no time to redo it and when ahead. Do you see it?
There's a little stamping secret here. I wanted a long card and stamped the tulips twice, masking the top with paper and covering the seam with a scalloped border by recycling some wrapping craft paper. It's amazing that though there're so many various stamps have been used, the card does not look too busy.
I made quite a few of these flower cards for the upcoming spring Women's day as thank you cards for teachers. Applying distress inks and stamping with Happy definition make it a fun and quick project. The sentiment "From all my heart" is stamped with StazOn on green vellum. The golden border is a sticker.
I am very satisfied with the books. I just love The Mission to motherhood by Sally Clarkson It is so deep and nurturing to my spirit. I may share more about the book when I finish.

Beautiful cards, stamps and books Maria! You still have young children, I know when my boys were all small that I didn't have time for anything, just fall in bed at night exhausted! I hope you will enjoy that cook-book too - it has brought us so much enjoyment already! I never really liked being in the kitchen, but something has changed in me and DH and kids are enjoying it too!
