I made this fun travel book from left over pictures from the scrapbooks I made for my kids earlier. A few years ago we spent 2 months in the outskirts of Paris. My husband was on job training with Alcatel. So while he was at work I took the kids twice a week to enjoy Paris. Yegor (our oldest son) was six and he enjoyed it to the fullest. He never complained that he had to do lots of walking. Timothy was in the stroller.
There were perfect square pages left from the journals I made from a roll of whatman paper and aged with hot coffee, slightly crumpling the paper while still wet. I used a few papers from En Route pack by Sei.
So I figured I could make a smaller journal for my son. Yesteday we worked together adding photos and images from cards and maps I saved from the trip. I even dug out a few metro tickets:)
The cover panel by Graphic45 came from
Jacqueline . Thank you!
I wanted all his treasues to be well seen. So I came up with transparent pockets.
I made those from nesties' packaging putting it throuh the Big Shot machine using cuttlebug folders. I made both horizontal and vertical pockes embossed with Candy Cane Stripe and Number Collage. I used the sewing machine to make everything more durable.
This is a smaller transparent pocket, can you see it?
I used the maps of Paris in various ways - cut them into tags and made another pocket. There're plenty of spare pages for Yegor to fill in.
This is being entered also into
the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge: Anything Goes.
